What should we do if the glass is stuck to the ceramic rollers  of the glass tempeirng furnace?

Answer: During tempering process, in cases where the furnace doors are not opened in time, heating time is too long, the conveyor is stopped or encountering other mechanical malfunctions, the glass may get stuck to the ceramic rollers of the glass tempeirng furnace. The proper way to handle the situation is as follows:

 1. Shut down the furnace. Switch off the power supply of the heating units and open the ventilation valves. Lift up both front and back furnace doors to cool down the system.
 2. If there is a large area of rollers affected, you should also stop the drive shaft and allow it cool down in air. In case where glass sticks only to few rollers, you may take the drive belt off these rollers to stop them from rotation while leaving the others rolling.
 3. Lift up the furnace cover after the equipment cooling down to room temperature. Insert the safety pins for security.

 4. For large pieces of single pane glass stuck to the ceramic rollers, gently tap on the bottom with wooden sticks to separate it from the rollers and remove it from the chamber.

 5. Take the roller conveyor out. Use wooden sticks to carefully clean the multi-pane glass off the ceramic rollers till the broken glass completely separates from the rollers.
 6. Polish the rollers with 300~600-Grit waterproof sandpaper till smooth.
 7. Do not polish before the rollers completely cool down or it may leave small pits over the roller and damage its surface.
