How to Remove Quality Defects of Tempered Glass During Tempering by Glass Tempering Furnace
Source :    Release time:2013-08-28

During the glass tempering production by glass tempering furnace, different kinds of glass defects may be left on tempered glass due to some complicated reasons, which are difficult for the glass tempering furnace operator to identify the reasons and avoid the defects. However, during our long time customer service, Landglass has analyzed some common defects and provide customers with following practical solutions for avoiding or minimizing these defects, which can be also regarded as the replies to some technical questions from the customers.

1. In bending tempering process, the glass bends on straight side or the bent side is not even and smooth
1) The straight sides of the glass bend upward or downward because the top air pressure and bottom air pressure are not even and the glass sheet is not cooled down evenly;

2) The radius of the bent side is not same because the bend system is not properly set.

1) When the straight side of glass bends upward, bottom chiller is closer to the glass than the top chiller, so the top chiller should be lowered down so as to give more quenching pressure on top surface; when the straight side of glass bends downward, top chiller is closer to the glass then the bottom chiller,  so the top chiller should be hoisted up so as to lower top quenching pressure;
2) Check if the bending mechanism forms right arc on both ends.
